well, we just got home from grayson's sinus surgery. it was fairly uneventful, except for the nausea from the anesthesia and morphine. he's in bed now. hopefully he'll sleep off the upset stomach.
for those who don't know, grayson had his adenoids removed and his sinus cavities widened and scraped. the doctor said g's sinus cavities were less than a millimeter wide and he widened them to about 6 millimeters. grayson had been having chronic sinusitis, malformed sinus cavities, asthma, and allergies. although this won't make his asthma or allergies go away, it should improve his overall breathing and health.
the surgery took about 2 hours. then another 1 to 1.5 hours in recovery. but we did get to come home today. happy new year's eve to us! :-)
